Reporting Inappropriate Conduct in the Care Setting
Online Course
The inappropriate conduct offence under the Education and Care Services National Law is now in effect across Australia.
Every adult working or volunteering in an education and care service is prohibited from engaging in conduct that a reasonable person would consider inappropriate in the presence of children.
Join Dr Mary Anne Hall as she breaks down the Inappropriate Conduct offence – exploring how this requirement can be embedded in your workplace and be used as a tool to protect children from harm, abuse and neglect.
Educators, Nominated Supervisors and Approved Providers need to understand the nature of Inappropriate Conduct offences.
This includes understanding how Inappropriate Conduct works with Mandatory Reporting, the Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct Schemes to keep children safe from harm.
This short course will assist Approved Providers and other management staff to understand how they should respond to Inappropriate Conduct complaints, and how to document the process and subsequent reporting.
